Workshops and Lectures

Music can be a companion in many beautiful ways, in a diversity of settings, and situations. In workshops and lectures, we will explore in depth the different facets of music. Music’s history, theory, ethnomusicology, the variety of genres, and experiences one can have with music, all play such an important role in understanding its therapeutic benefits. In addition, we will address the potential challenges that may arise in Music Therapy and how music has the ability to overcome, accept, and adapt to the nature of these challenges. I always like to include hands on music making experiences, so please feel free to bring any instruments to these lectures or workshops! Whatever your musical interests or curiosities may be, we can work together to create a workshop or lecture topic that supports your students and audience’s learning!
